Where is the documentation to help me set up my cron job?  I can't seem to find it anywhere.  I would like to make my sitemap generator run automatically.

the command line for cron job is displayed on Crawling page of sitemap generator. Details of setting up a cron task depend on the hosting control panel type on your server.

question about cron jobs. If the crawler is getting CGI timeouts, often, would this kill the cron job until its next ran or will it keep auto restarting till complete?

CGI timeout happen only if you run it in browser.
