How can I remove a duplicate URL from sitemap.xml

Please help me with this.

I have some duplicate pages on my website and trying to implement 301 redirect. But due to some issues, it is taking time. So I want to remove those URL from my Sitemap.xml file. How can I do it.?

you can use robots.txt to disallow access to those pages.

I blocked access to those pages via robots.txt, but all still in vain([ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]). My aim is to debar duplicate "review pages" from crawling, but when I try to generate sitemap file, it invokes all the pages headed under this section.
