Excluding items from sitemap

I just installed xml-sitemaps and overall I'm very pleased.
1 thing I can't figure out is how to exclude some results from the sitemap.
Specifically, I have a site with a image gallery attached (Gallery3 to be exact) and xml-sitemaps is showing the comment form of each image page as a link.
I cannot figure out for the life of me, how to configure XS to omit these. Where would i change this and what would I do?
Oh, and I want to remove the link to the login that it creates also.

you can use "Exclude URLs" setting for that (depending on how those links are formatted).

Ok Great. Got it to work with the Gallery.
Now I'm having trouble with a Magento Shopping cart.
The crawler is getting bogged down after about 5000 pages (3300 in sitemap with about 670 in queue.
I don't have anywhere near that many pages.
I think what it I need help with exactly what strings and URLs need to be excluded because what I'm using isn't right.
Could someone just give me an idea of what strings and URLs I need to be looking for to list?
