Russian language for <image:caption> in sitemap_images.xml

Hello!
My site [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ] is in Russian language, utf-8.
Titles in sitemap.xml are ok.
But all the contents of <image:caption> in sitemap_images.xml are in abracadabra both with utf-8 turned on or off in settings of Generator.
Could you suggest the cause or decision, please?

All entities are encoded in sitemap source according to protocol, you can open sitemap in browser instead to see how it's rendered (gzip compression needs to be disabled for that).
