Image sitemap submitted, still need to submit basic sitemap too?

i already submitted image sitemap to google webmaster tools, for example https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/sitemap_images.xml

do i still need to submit the basic sitemap too? for example https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/sitemap.xml

both sitemap content for url looks like same, and the url numbers report in google webmaster tools almost same


what is your experience guys?
