So my exclude URLS stripps out code

Hi

I've got a joomla site and am trying to create a site map that excludes some urls such as which are query strings as I understand it...

[ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]

But the exclude urls seems to strip out some of the code such as "&" there for the query strings are still being indexed even though there are no pages...

Please help?!
