All of a sudden this week I am getting the following error:

An error occured
Error writing to these files:
/var/www/vhosts/jirehsupplies.com/httpdocs/generator/data/sitemap.html
/var/www/vhosts/jirehsupplies.com/httpdocs/generator/data/sitemap2.html
/var/www/vhosts/jirehsupplies.com/httpdocs/generator/data/sitemap3.html
Please correct files permissions and resume sitemap creation.

Checked permissions according to directions and everything seems OK.

Please help.

Solved the problem.  Deleted the sitemap.htm, and other files.  sitemap generator created new ones and all is good.

During our annual review of our sitemaps I discovered that our last sitemap was dated in May even though we have them set for daily. We have been using PHP XML for many years and have several sites configured.
I went in to check why the automatic generation of sitemaps was not working and found the following error message.

Error writing to these files:
/home/content/s/t/r/straw2tlm/html/SSC/ror.xml
/home/content/s/t/r/straw2tlm/html/SSC/sitemap.xml
/home/content/s/t/r/straw2tlm/html/SSC/sitemap_images.xml
/home/content/s/t/r/straw2tlm/html/SSC/sitemap_mobile.xml
/home/content/s/t/r/straw2tlm/html/SSC/generator/data/sitemap.html
Please correct files permissions and resume sitemap creation.

After researching this it appeared that a solution would be to delete these files (See post above) and then regenerate the sitemap. This did not work and resulted in the same error message.

please try to reinstall sitemap generator (remove generator/ folder from your website, then reupload genertor files again).

Thank you, this did work. I'm not sure why a complete re installation was needed on all of our websites, but this advise did restore them.
