sitemap.xml not writeable, but in fact it is

Hi,
I've set permissions to sitemap.xml and ror.xml correctly, but after crawling I get always the following error
"Error writing to these files:
/home/.../web/generator/ror.xml
/home/.../web/generator/sitemap.xml
Please correct files permissions and resume sitemap creation."
I did so several times, but no chance. My web hoster answered the files were writeable! What can I do?

The problem is solved. I don't know why. After the eightth time crawling the error has disappeared.
