Product pages with canonical links not added to sitemap

Hello

We are having a problem with the website's products not being added to the xml sitemap. The pages are set to be indexed, but have a canonical meta tag on these pages - would this be causing the problem?

please make sure that canonical meta tag points to correct link (it must be fully qualified URL including domain)

Thanks for the response. The canonical tag link has the full url and the page to this exists. I have ticked the option to check canonical tags within the XML Sitemap generator's advanced settings also.
