Sitemaps Empty

when I run the Standalone XML Sitemap Generator everything seems to work okay, the sitemap.xml is generated and I can see the URL's, but when I try to add it to google webmaster, I get an error: Empty Sitemap
Your Sitemap does not contain any URLs. Please validate and resubmit your Sitemap.

I changed the file extension (sitemap.XML) to uppercase and it worked?

possible sitemap.xml file (lowercase) is not writable, you need to make sure that it has 666 permissions.

Do you have .htaccess file in domain root folder? If yes, what is it's content?
