Images not indexed - image sitemap remains empty

Hi

I just installed the xml-sitemap including image sitemap on my site. I definitely have a lot of pictures, I thought I had set it up right, because I successfully did it on other sites. But my images aren't found.

What could I have done wrong?

Just to add the information:

permissions for the sitemap files are set to 666, permission for data folder is set to 777

I have not performed the image sitemap, but check the sitepmap name, I am only advising this since when I made mine they executed, actually they executed too good and got in a ton of trouble with the stinking calendar.
