New User: Configuration is getting Saved & Sitemap is not crawled yet

Hi,
I uploaded the sitemap as per instructions to: [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]

But, I am unable to make changes to the configuration page & save the settings.
Also, when I go to Crawling and try to RUN a sitemap. It does not create a sitemap.
I believe this is because I am using it as "Public" user and not admin.

Also, it looks like this setup is available to public with no login information. So, how do I make it inaccessible to public?

Please help me figure this out.

please try to create a file name ".htaccess" in generator/ folder with one line:
RewriteEngine off

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion it worked. I was able to create the sitemap file and also I deleted the .htaccess file in order to avoid other people changing the settings again.

Is it possible to make the /generator/ directory inaccessible to public? I want to avoid people seeing our settings.

There is a setting in generator configuration to define login/password to access it.
