Separate Sitemaps for Different Areas of Site

Since the current version doesn't allow saving settings to allow multiple sitemaps for different areas of a site is there any method other than installing the generator into separate directories, each with settings that allow to create a sitemap specific to a particular area of the site?

I want to separate areas which don't get updated as often from areas which get updated more frequently.

you can change Starting URL setting in the same generator instance, create sitemap for it, then change again for another part of the site.
