Will not complete site map please help program is useless

Hi- I keep trying to run a site map on my site and it will not finish. Gets stuck at a little under 2000 pages. My site has over 6000. Please help. Need new site map to submit to google as soon as possible.

Hello,

it looks like your server configuration doesn't allow to run the script long enough to create full sitemap. Please try to increase memory_limit and max_execution_time settings in php configuration at your host (php.ini file) or contact hosting support regarding this.

I'm hosting a shared account with godaddy. Can you post the exact text I need in the file, or an example of a file that is correct?  I don't see that file anywhere.

You could try these values in php.ini:
max_execution_time=9000
memory_limit=256M
