"srcset" URLs in Images Sitemap
« on: February 08, 2016, 04:15:55 PM »
I'm running Worpress/Twentyfifteen, and my pages all use featured images.

I have noticed that the images sitemap generator includes "srcset" URLS, which are the different sizes of my featured images.

Which URL will Google spot first and include in search results. Up until now, Google has indexed my full images and included those in results (which is what I want)

Will the inclusion of all the images sizes in the sitemap cause Google to index and include one of the smaller versions? This is not the result I want.

Any thoughts or insights will be appreciated.

Hello,

it doesn't prevent search engines from indexing other images on your site.
