How to use XML Sitemap Generator

I am a new user and i dont understand how its work
some question is :
1. when i run Crawling complete  i can see file sitemap.xml , sitemap1.xml , sitemap2.xml , sitemap3.xml  and how it do next ?
- its auto submit to google ? or I must to submit to google via google webmaster tools

2. Can i delete  sitemap.xml , sitemap1.xml , sitemap2.xml , sitemap3.xml  in my server anytime if iwant ? and can i create new  sitemap.xml , sitemap1.xml , sitemap2.xml , sitemap3.xml  anytime as i want ?

Current status my website Sitemap Generator show 71690 but in webmaster tool show 143,380  I dont understand

Hello,

1. you need to submit sitemap.xml in google webmaster tools (one time):
[ External links are visible to logged in users only ]

2. it is recommended to keep sitemaps.

3. Make sure that you submitted only  sitemap.xml (it has links to other sitemaps) and not sitemap1.xml etc.

i must to summit to google webmaster tool again ?  or not

Submit in webmaster tools only one time.
Sitemap should be updated regularly to keep them up to date.
