Setting permissions of the sitemap_images.xml to 0666 ???

Hello please help / advise

the PDF i received states to set UNIX permissions for

sitemap.xml to 666    DONE
ror.xml to 666  DONE
sitemap_images.xml to 0666     ( I cant do it on 3 different FTP clients   it makes it just 666 )

is this a problem
