Unknown entity in video sitemap

Hello,

i have a problem with unknown entities in video xml sitemaps.

Google and Bing both say that there is a problem with

Code Select Expand

ö ä ü.

I've replaced these html codes for ö ä ü in the xml file and Google and Bing accepted the xml files, which is a kind of weired, because to me it seems to be a valid xml structure.

And in other xml sitemaps - for example for example sitemap.xml the german letters ö ä ü doesn't cause any problems.

The website is in UTF-8 format. I've also choosed UTF-8 in the xml-sitemap configuration.

If you open the xml file in a browser you also get an error instantly.

Please see PN. I'm using the latest version of xml sitemap generator.

Sitemaps seem to be accepted by Google. Bing generates a XML error in the file sitemap.xml

An error occured while downloading this sitemap. Please check the sitemap for errors and submit it once again.

The error only occurs in Bing. Google reports no errors for that sitemap.

it means that bing has issues downloading sitemap, not with the sitemap itself.

But why is that? Google doesn't have any problems. Only Bing. And as said before, there wasn't any problem before the update.

Did the sitemap crawling again and submitted the new files again to Bing and Google, but get the same error with Bing again.

Looks like it shows the number of URLs processed though, possibly that is an old message that is shown.
