Showing broken links, but those links physically do not exist

While creating sitemap, it also shows a list of Broken LInks. But when we open the file in the "Referred from" column, and search for the (broken) link, which is mentioned in the "Broken Link (Code 404)" column, no such string/link is found. How to fix this issue?
