Permission on sitemap.xml change when running generator

Hi,

When I run the sitemap generator on the command line (I'm unable to run manually - I have posted separately), the permissions on sitemap.xml change to 644, rendering it no longer writable for subsequent builds. Why does this happen?

in this case I would recommend to run generator in command line if you have ssh access to your server.

My question was why does the permissions change on the file when I run the generator on the command line.

Sitemap generator recreates files and they are created with default permissions according with server configuration.
