generating sitemap.html

I can't seem to figure out how to generate a sitemap.html
On the configuration page I get the error message

Sitemap file is not writable: [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]

I have tried adding an empty sitemap.html with 666 access in the site root and the data directory

the "HTML sitemap file" setting should contain the file path instead of the link (like /path/to/generator/data/sitemap.html)

Got it. a look at the error.log revealed
/data/28/5/54/yy/xxxxxxxx/user/zzzzzzz/htdocs/...
