The sitemap generator interrupts because the timeout for PHP scripts on the server is only 120s. What can I do?

Hello, 

in this case I would recommend to run generator in command line if you have ssh access to your server.

I don't have an SSH. Can you configure the generator so that it automatically starts again after 15 minutes?

You can use a "web cron" to run sitemap generator in this case. There is no option in sitemap generator to start automatically.
