permissions problem

i have set the folder where i stored the product to 777  webmap
I have a folder for the output with the two blank xml   sitemap.xml and ror.xml and these are set to 666
I have pointed the output to the folder webmapxml

I am testing using just one php script to make the test small

But i get the error writing problem

any help asap as I need the tool to work for a major website overhaul

"Save sitemap to" setting should point to a filename with full folder path, in your case:
/homepages/.../sitemap.xml
