Gateway Time Out Error

I am trying to run the generator, and every time I run it I get a "gateway time out" error.

I have changed a few settings to "0" for execution time and maximum memory usage - changed those on a guess, but it hasn't helped the issue.  Currently it says 7,091 files and has 2,955 in queue, but the sitemap files have zero content.

I am uber confused with this.  I tried running the script from your website (free version) and it seems to spider everything just fine.

Hope you can help guide me.
Thanks for your help!
Jeanne

I kept continuing the crawl, and this error came up:

XML-Sitemaps Support

Hello,

you have incorrectly defined "HTML Sitemap filename" setting, it should point to html file, not a folder name.

I am super happy, with that correction, I was able to get it to finish!

I tried doing the entire site, (previously I was only doing an individual category), and it is still giving me the gateway time out error.  Do you have any suggestions on stopping the time out error?

Thanks so much for your help!
Jeanne

XML-Sitemaps Support

Hello,

it looks like your server configuration doesn't allow to run the script long enough to create full sitemap. Please try to increase memory_limit and max_execution_time settings in php configuration at your host (php.ini file) or contact hosting support regarding this.

Thank you.  I will try that.

Somehow, the scan that timed out yesterday was able to finish after resuming it just once, but I will still reach out to my host.

Thanks again!
