I have the exact same configuration as other websites,  and they are working properly.
The only difference is in the /etc/cron.sitemaps name, the website URL and the path to the sitemap, which are all very similar to other websites.

I'm using Webmin (System->Scheduled Cron Jobs), and nginx is the OS.
