Question on priorty settings

Wondering what priorty to put on each URL.   The default is .5 from what I read.   Should I leave most at that and, say, put the site map on the website as priority "1"?   I've got THE perfect terms hyperlinked to the corresponding pages and think that would be a good place to prioritize.

yes, it's a good idea to keep the most of URLs with default priority and put "emphasis" on those importan ones with higher priority attribute.
