I've tried using the online sitemap generator for this website, [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ], and I get the following error everytime?

'An error occured

There was an error while accessing the URL specified: [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]
Please make sure to specify the correct website URL and resubmit your request'

I've tried it on other websites and it works fine? I also tried it on a subsite of this site, [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ], and it worked fine? Just not on the main URL?

Any ideas anyone?

your webserver is misconfigured - it returns HTTP Code 500 (sevrer error) on every request instead of Code 200. So, although it returns the page content correctly, bots are *not able* to crawl/index your site:

Hi,
The same thing happens to me as well when trying to generate a sitemap for [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]

I checked the status code that the pages on this domain return anf they all return the good 200 code.

Any idea of what the problem might be?

Perhaps there is a network connection (or DNS-related) issue from our server to yours, please try to re-generate sitemap later.

your domain is redirected to another URL on external domain (theimagefile . co . uk), that's why it's not being crawled.

I've been fairly fortunate with the sitemaps, until recently.  I submit the generated site map to Google Webmaster Tools.  I tried opening up the xml document [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ] in the browser and got a Parse error.  Google Webmaster Tools returns an error: Unsupported file format
Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format. Please ensure it meets our Sitemap guidelines and resubmit.

I have followed all the suggestions in this forum, I've checked with my hosting provider, and I still get errors.  Could it be an issue with Google?  It wouldn't be the first time they changed things on us.

It looks like you have some sort of special handler for xml files now, so that they are parsed like PHP files. Please check that with your host (possibly you have that defined in .htaccess file or server config).

Looks like you have issues with your host - I cannot open your domain in browser either.
