Excluding URLS/Strings
« on: February 03, 2008, 06:00:24 PM »
Hi

I am trying to exclude from the crawl the following:

http://www.mydomains.com/cart.php?add=4545
http://www.mydomains.com/cart.php?add=232
http://www.mydomains.com/cart.php?add=23644

Many different numbers after the = sign, you get the picture :)

I added to the exclude URL's the follwoing:
http://www.mydomains.com/cart.php?add=

2 problems

1. it still crawls all the URLS
2. when i get back to the Config section the Exclude URL section is empty,, so if i wanted to Cron it, i couldent keep the settings.

Has any one encountered similar problem or has an advice?

Good luck with the ranking.

Hello,

you should add this to BOTH "Do not parse" and "Exclude URLs" options:

Code: [Select]
cart.php?add=

Quote
2. when i get back to the Config section the Exclude URL section is empty,, so if i wanted to Cron it, i couldent keep the settings.
Do you mean that options are not saved when you reload the config screen again? Make sure that file persmissions are set accordingly for config.inc.php file (0666).
