Validation Issues

I just used the free online sitemap generator the other day to create my sitemap and I just tried the validation tool offered also and even though it created it, it validates with problems. How can that be?

Thank you, it was jacked up earlier when I tried it several times just prior to the original post time. I just ran it again and it worked fine this time.
