Creation Date?

I'm using this script with Joomla and one thing that gets me warning from Google are my last modified date.

Some of my recent published articles have a modified date of 1969-12-31.

Is this a [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ] issue or is this issue with Joomla?

do you have "last-modified" attribute option set to "Server response" in sitemap generator configuration?
You can check the date/time your server send with out http headers viewer tool: https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/http-headers-viewer.html

Yes it is. What should I change that to?

You can change it to "Current time".
