ror sitemap encoding problem
« on: December 14, 2008, 10:33:34 AM »
Hi,

I'm using the sitemap generator with a Hungarian Joomla 1.5 site. The site default encoding is utf-8.
After I installed the generator, I got the HTML and the ROR sitemap in wrong encoding.

I found the HTML sitemap error - it was in ISO-8859-15 encoding. So, I changed the encoding to utf8 in sitemap_tpl.html file, and it looks fine now.

But, the ROR file is still unreadable. There is wrong characters instead of special Hungarian characters.
You can check it here:
Correct HTML sitemap: http://crmszoftver.hu/generator/data/sitemap.html
Wrong ROR sitemap: http://crmszoftver.hu/ror.xml

I attach two pictures about this mistake as well.

What I have to do to fix this encoding problem in ROR sitemap?

Hello,

we are going to address the issue with ROR sitemaps displaying on UTF-8 based sites in the next version of sitemap generator.
