Sitemap sees OLD titles

I have recently changed the titles to several of my web pages, However sitemap generator has produced a sitemap with old titles.  Why?  How do I update the sitemap with the new titles?  I even ran a "search" in the html pages in question and the titles generated by sitemap are not found in the document.  Where is sitemap getting these old titles?HELP
