Integer overflow in memory_limit check detected

Im running the XML generator on one of my servers and it stopped running and it showing this error now:

Integer overflow in memory_limit check detected

The sitemap generator has been running for over a week.  Its already gone through over 500k pages and has another 400k+ pages to do in the next level deep.  It was using 940MBs of RAM at the last point it was running.  I've set the memory_limit to something like 3GBs+ (the server has 4GBs or RAM). 

I've tried stopping and restarting, but it will not continue...its just stuck here.  Ideas?

with website of this size the best option is to create a limited sitemap - with "Maximum depth" or "Maximume URLs" option limited so that it would gather about 200-300,000 URLs, which would be main pages representing "roadmap" sitemap for search engines.
