Can I edit generated sitemap?

Google tells me I have 2 errors in my sitemap:

1. all priorities are same (which they are not if you lok at my sitemap, but apparently google is ignoring the first entry)

2. My sitemap has two URLs pointing to same page, so my 15-page site actually shows 16 pages on the sitemap.

I tried to edit the sitemap manually but don't seem to be able to do that.

What to do??
