Sitemap folder names

I started to upload the sitemaps generator files to my root directory when I realized I had a problem. One of the folders is named pages. Unfortunately, one of my primary folders is also named pages. For a moment, I thought I'd wiped out my whole site.

Can I put the sitemap stuff in a subdirectory? Or can I rename the pages folder something else? I don't relish renaming my own pages folder. Dreamweaver may change all the links, but there is no guarantee. And there are hundreds.

XML-Sitemaps Support

Hello,

actually you should *not* put files directly in domain root, please create a subfolder and upload files there. You can find details here: https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/howto-install.html
