Can I alter php generator code?
« on: November 03, 2010, 08:12:41 AM »
I have a php website and find that all of my page titles are the same. My web programmer wants to alter the generator code to allow the ability to alter XML. Is this possible?

Hello,

sitemap generator code cannot be altered. The titles are taken from <title> tag in html source of your pages, if you have the same title for all pages, it's highly recommended to correct that *on your site*, no matter if you are using generator or not.

My website is not HTML so there aren't any HTML pages. I used to have a 50,000 page HTML website until we redesigned and placed all info in databases. So, I have one index.php. I do not have HTML pages, only php.

Hello,

even it's powered by PHP/ASP or anything else, it still generates html code for the browser (that applied to ANY website)
