Index.php dissapears when uploaded

When trying to install the script on one of my sites, I upload all files but the index.php never appears. I manually created a blank index.php which uploaded. I opened the index.php from the crypt and noticed its encrypted. Could my host reject encrypted files ?

this is unlikely as we never had this issue before, but your could contact your host if there are any restriction that might be related.
