public_html viewable directory

My forums are in the root directory /public_html/? 
 public_html is not a viewable directory. ?

You would just change

Disallow: /subscription.php

Disallow: subscription.php

Which format is correct for public_html
  slash "/" or without "/"   ?

In robots.txt links in "disallow" line normally needs leading slash character.

no leading slash character,  Tutorial how to make a good robots.txt file

I do not understand why it was used Disallow: search without the slash ?
