XML Site Map Generator Crashes Server

Hello,

We've tried to run the standalone sitemap generator for our site, but each time we've run it it has either crashed our server or produced an out of memory exception.

Increasing the amount of memory it is allowed is not an option, as this will be a huge drain on the site's resources.

We have also altered some of the optimisation settings, but this still hasn't worked.

Please advise?

Hello,

you can run generator in command line, increasing the memory limit just for it, so it won't affect the limit for pages on your site.

Unfortunately that was the second thing we tried and it now seems to render the site unresponsive every time it is run, meaning that we have to ask the server host to manually reboot each time.
