Hi

My site is on Wordpress.org. What I realized is the pages pointing to tags and categories are ranking higher in search engines. What I'd like to do is to let these tags and category pages to be excluded from the sitemap as well as tell the search engines not to index these pages.

I've activated canonical URLs in Single Post Page and Index page. Please help

Hello,

you can use "Exclude URLs" setting in generator configuration to avoid including them in sitemap.

How can I exclude many url's that start out the same but end with a different number?  do you use wildcards?  I've tried both * & % and neither worked?

I have many that look like this:
[ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]

and want to only keep:
[ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]

and have the rest included...  what do I place in the Exclude URL's are of the configuration...

You can add "mls_id=" in Exclude URLs setting and that will exclude all URLs containing "mls_id=" inside.
