  iam getting multiple url in sitemap for same content in my sitemap, im getting nearly 16930 links in my site, in that nearly most of the url are repeated, i mention u the example below

original url :

[ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]

dulpicate url (which is actually not present  in my website) :

[ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]

[ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]

[ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]

[ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]

atually 342 in the url is mentioning the city in original, for each city duplicate url has been generated  in sitemap.

please find me a way to omit this, since this links are not visible in my site, it is present only in sitemap, if i submit this i will get an issue

you need to make sure that non-existing URLs return 404 file not found error (currently they are opening) - in this case they will not be added in sitemap and you will see where they are linked from in broken links report.

i need to redirect the non existent url to 404 error page right?

the best way to handle this is to display  404 error without additional redirects.
