Sitemap Generator Forum

Hi, help..........

I'm re-running the standalone generator on my site with a new option to create an images sitemap also, but it's constantly getting stuck after around 1-2 minutes, and goes no further than about page 50.

Suggestions? Saw your post about increasing max_memory etc. etc. in my php.ini file. I don't know how to do this, plus, the generator worked a treat first time I used it in exactly the same circumstances, minus the image map generation.

I too am having a similar situation despite not having any limits the generator gets so farm then stops.

it looks like your server configuration doesn't allow to run the script long enough to create full sitemap. Please try to increase memory_limit and max_execution_time settings in php configuration at your host (php.ini file) or contact hosting support regarding this.
 

DO i manually have to edit this file or is this done on the settings web page?

It should be done in PHP configuration (not in generator config), hence you might be required to contact your hosting support.
