HTTPS and Opencart Crawling Problem
« on: July 14, 2014, 12:49:05 PM »
Hi all, hope you's are all doing great today :)

I have a problem while trying to generate the sitemap for my website which uses SSL.

When I set the configuration to crawl the HTTPS version of my site it only returns 10 pages, it doesn't seem to want to crawl the category pages and product pages.

I have a feeling it's something to do with how I've configured my Opencart SSL setup.  Basically; I have 301 redirected all HTTP pages to their HTTPS counterpart in the .htaccess, I am unsure if this is standard practice.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! :)

Hello,

make sure all links are pointing to https protocol directly, not just redirected from http links.

Ah thanks!  I had to tweak some Opencart code for this to happen.
