Issues with generating sitemap

I am having an issue with running and generating a sitemap.  I have set the php.ini file to 256 and 9000 on the execution.  Still cant generate a complete site map. I dont see any errors on the error log file or generator index page. When visiting the index page, you can see that it it stopped and i continue to click run in background and resume boxes.

Please advise.
