Can I limit the sitemap for Google News to only new articles in last 30 days?

Is there a way to limit the generator so that it will only include articles from the last 30 days?

Only pages from last two days are included in news sitemap according to specs (except when sitempa is created for the first time since there is no history yet to compare with older sitemap):
