Hello,

you should either re-generate sitemap manually from time to time or setup a scheduled task (cron job) in Hosting Control Panel to do that automatically.

the sitemap is finding files that have been deleted about a week ago. I ran the site map generator 3 times already and still it is finding these pages. Is there anyway, using the free sitemap generator, to get an updated sitemap? I dont understand where it is getting those pages when they have been deleted for some time now. Thanks.

Hello,

perhaps  you still have links to the deleted pages somewhere on your site. Does your site return 404 code with filenot found page when you enter old links in browser?
