no HTML Sitemap

Hi.

when I crawl my site the xml-sitemap is fine but it generates no HTML-Site map. What could be the reason for this ? Is it the size ( 33.000 pages ) ?

I use a split after 1000 pages.

yes, I enabled "Create html site map for your normal visitors "

the last time I run the script in July 08 it worked. Shall I delete the "old" html-files ?
