Both on-line and stand alone stopped finding ANY pages
« on: May 19, 2009, 12:29:01 PM »
I have the paid-for stand alone version and have just tried the on-line version and both come back with NO pages listed. Although when i first installed the software it found over 200 links.

I don't have any meta tags saying NOFOLLOW that that stop the robots.

I have checked the permissions and they are as in the instructions.

For the on-line version I do get this error, which might be hepful:

Problems with the schema-validity of the target
http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/download/www.waltoncreative.com/sitemap.xml:9:1: Invalid per cvc-complex-type.1.2.4: content of urlset is not allowed to end here (1), expecting [u'{http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9}:url']:

Any ideas?

Thanks

I wonder if these are somehow being generated by XML-Sitemap generator?

Anyway I have now changed this so that the only text on the robot says: User-agent: * Allow: /

Having tried the generator again, it still does not complete the building of the sitemap - the same problem I posted on the other forum.

It sticks saying Sitemap generation in progress...

Can you see what is wrong at your end?

Thanks

I have found the answer !

Its SAFARI - the latest version of Safari for Mac v3.2.3 doesn't work with the standalone generator.

BUT FIREFOX DOES - SOLVED.
