Is there a problem in the sitemap for blogs?
« on: August 03, 2006, 02:17:27 PM »
Hi there,

I tried to generate a sitemap (xml and html) for my site that also has a blog powered by Wordpress:

[external links are visible to admins only]

But when the sitemap is generated, the blog pages are not listed, only the index page of the blog is there. The pages in Wordpress have permalinks in the form of [external links are visible to admins only]

Is the xml-sitemaps tool able to find and list the blog pages?

As I'd like to get them all indexed!

Thanks!

Hello,

yes, it should work correctly. Please let me know your site URL to check it further.

The generator has no problem with creating sitemaps for blogs. In this instance the blog pages were addressed without the www prefix.

http://www.url.com/blog/ and http://url.com/blog are seen as 2 different sites which is why the pages weren't added.
