What's the reason for priority values?  I have unchecked the 'automatically assign priority attribute' giving all of my pages a priority of 1.  How will this affect any search engine's treatment of my sitemap?

Hello,

priorities allow to "highlight" some pages on your site comparing to other pages on *your* site, giving them higher priority.
